Seal Smart™ Glazing System by Vista

All insulating glass windows claim to save you money on energy costs. However, not all insulating glass windows are created equal. Windows made by Vista Window Company using Seal Smart™ insulating glass, can not only save you significant money on energy costs, but their warm edge design helps to make your home feel more comfortable too.

You can get the Seal Smart™ advantage utilizing the intercept spacer system from PPG (standard), or by upgrading to Super Spacer™, a revolutionary structural foam spacer that provides even warmer edge of glass temperatures.

The Seal Smart Glazing System gives you the ability to custom configure your Insulated Glass Units. Here are some examples:

* Seal Smart PLUS - two panes of glass, double stacked LowE coating and Argon Gas.
* Triad A - three panes of glass, double stacked LowE coating and Argon Gas.
* Triad K - three panes of glass, double stacked LowE coating and Krypton Gas.
* Triad 7 (new) - three panes of glass, TWO layers of double stacked LowE and Argon Gas.
* Seal Smart Xtreme - three panes of glass, two layers of double stacked LowE and Krypton Gas.

Double Hung Windows by VISTA

No window combines style and function quite like the Double Hung. It is the traditional American window, and our Panorama Series Double Hung is the flagship of the Vista product line.

The Double Hung window consists of two "sashes", one on top and one on the bottom...that slide up and down as well as tilt in for easy cleaning.

The sliding action is made possible by stainless steel coil springs (Constant Force Balance System) which support the weight of each sash. The bottom (inside) sash is primarily used for opening the window, although the top (outside) sash can also be slid downward for ventilation.

All Vista Double Hung windows are custom-made to your exact needs...down to 1/16". These windows are available with glass options which will meet rigid EnergyStar requirements in all 50 states.

Horizontal Sliders by Vista

One of the most refreshing of window designs is the Horizontal Slider. Both sashes (sometimes called a vent) slide independently allowing for maximum ventilation.

Horizontal Sliders come in the "2 Lite" and "3 Lite" varieties. In a 2-Lite (2 section) slider...each sash slides. In a 3-Lite Slider, the sashes on either end both slide while the center panel is stationary.

Casement Windows by Vista

These windows "crank out", acting like a door on a hinge. Casements open outward to either the left or the right. They can be joined together(mulled), and it is not uncommon to see "double" casements, and "triple" casement combinations.

Awning & Hopper Windows by Vista

Awning windows are similar to a casement window that is turned on its side except that they have very different and special hardware. This special hardware allows the window to be hinged at the top and open towards the outside from the bottom.

Awning windows can actually provide some protection from the rain in the open position just like an 'awning'. Awning windows can be combined with Casement windows and Picture windows to create dramatic sightlines and combination windows.

Hopper windows are windows somewhat similar to Awning windows yet almost the opposite. Hoppers are hinged at the bottom of the window and open up from the top falling into the inside of the home. Hoppers are commonly used in basements, and especially in places where there is minimal room for a window to project into the outside.
